Nexersys has a variety of systems to manage company data, but in order to track quarterly goals we had to bring the disparate systems together. I wrote a dashboard hosted on an internal computer, which used the Google Analytics API to pull website statistics, the Dynamics CRM SDK to pull sales activity and account status, and the Office SDK to read a locally-stored Excel spreadsheet maintained by the accounting staff. I was able to gather all this data, transform it into immediately-understandable graphs, and present it in a rotation webpage format. On top of that, I was able to open a port and password-protect the dashboard, so that external stakeholders could also access the information.
